On Wednesday, March 26th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, SVHC, in partnership with the Regional Pediatric Workgroup, will host a collaborative, discussion-based exercise designed to engage regional stakeholders in navigating a simulated pediatric mass casualty incident (MCI). Participants will share their plans, policies, and resources while tackling a series of challenges related to a major pediatric disaster. This exercise will provide valuable insights into regional response capabilities, identify gaps, and enhance coordination across multiple phases of a large-scale emergency.
We are offering one event in two locations—Roanoke and Abingdon—to ensure broad participation across the SVHC region. Each site will engage in the same facilitated exercise. Please register for one event, as both will be in-person only. This will be an excellent opportunity to collaborate with regional partners to respond to a mock MCI involving numerous children.
